What Can President Barack Obama do for your Business?

Ok so I won’t pretend to be able to predict how President Elect Barack Obama will impact your business world, but I would like to offer my congratulations to the new President and all of the American people for what will undoubtedly be an exciting time of change.

Also, a huge well done to John McCain. What a fantastically gracious runner-up! If you haven’t already seen them, here are both of their speeches…

I have read a quote of Benjamin Franklin about what President can do for your business… Let me share with you

When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.

Us Elections proved that if you believe and work hard everything is possible. It is a great lesson or everybody and i hope will bring a new era for humanity.

  4. Goat Weed Supplement on November 7th, 2008

These elections proved that US voters are quite aware of their natural right to choose their President. I must say they are looking a change, not only in White house But change in every walk of life.

Okey then let me to share with you an other quote…

    Thomas Jefferson, quotes:
I could think of no worse example for nations abroad, who for the first time were trying to put free electoral procedures into effect, than that of the United States wrangling over the results of our presidential election, and even suggesting that the presidency itself could be stolen by thievery at the ballot box.

The USA Elections have proved that if you believe in future and work hard everything is possible. All the voters are aware of whom they are electing and hope that Barack Obama will prove to his best.

Yeah, it’s still early to predict what Pres.Obama’s reign can do in US economy in general but this is a new beginning so let’s be hopeful and optimistic that something better awaits the United States under Obama’s leadership.

  8. jennifer on November 7th, 2008

I thought you were going to give me some pointers on what Obama can do for my biz. I’m ready to hear about it!

  9. Andy Bargery on November 7th, 2008

Hi jennifer, sorry about that, I had thought about writing some pointers, hence the title, but I figured I would wait and see what Preseident Obama’s policy decision are like first. Come back in a few moths and I might have written something useful for you.

PLEASE everyone no more black vs white comments, they’re all getting deleted.

The principle of macro-economics that will have to be applied to resurrect the US economy have not been invented yet …it is scary. One thing is sure Obama will be very different and our life styles will be radically different. It will be painful!

I just didn’t like how Mccain supports booed…

  12. jennifer on November 8th, 2008

Andy, I’ve been around here for a long time with no plans to go anywhere, so once you have a grasp on some policy, I look forward to what your thoughts are, particularly in relation to the struggling small business.

And I agree…it amazes me that we are still getting stuck on race issues. Things are difficult enough right now without instigating more drama on this blog. There’s just no point, so thank you for deleting those who want to pollute our happy little pond here!

The most important task Obama need to tackle is to rebuilt the invester cofidance. The people involved in Stock Market Business are very much disturbed about the situation.

Then comes the banking sector which need crucial and analytic support by the president camp.

  14. Simon - presentation skills training, UK on November 8th, 2008

I agree - great speeches, both. I must admit Obama’s ability is outstanding: I use him as an example in our training courses! :)

Shame about the shocking behaviour of the audience - but an inability to see or hear what was going on in his audience seems to have been a bit of a trait of McCain… the news channels here have been showing footage of some very unpleasant chanting at times. Obviously I don’t know how representative is - does anyone know?

Obama was voted as president of the United States not because of the color of his skin but by how he can solve the problem in the US. I was just thinking that those people who are against him what are they thinking.. is it because of the appearance that made them refuse him to be the newly appointed president?

Obama is good, he should be given a chance to prove what he can do during his stay as the president for his country.

I dont know how well he will do on the domestic front but just the fact that he has been elected will improve the US’s already badly damaged image abroad.

I am truly hoping that President Obama can do a whole lot good to the US. His win just proves that it is not too late for America to recover.

    God Bless us all.

  23. Roger Hamilton on November 13th, 2008

I also congratulate him. Hope he is a capable leader and leads USA out of this crisis.

  24. Japanese Bushido on November 14th, 2008

I also agree that McCain’s speech was simply phenomenal! I enjoyed it very much!

Now onto the issue of the what can he do for business’s. First of all, I am currently a finance major at Penn State. Secondly, I hope that Barack Obama does not increase the taxes on businesses. If he does, I think it will hurt us, especially since we are in a recession.

But.. like you… I am not going to prejudge how he will do, all I will say is, Let’s hope he does a good job, because we need it.

    Till then,

    Jean

i think that mccain put up a good fight and although he did not win the elections, he showed character and showed the world that he deserved to be obama’s competition.

Obama will be incredible although he has inherited so many problems.

  41. Tom on November 24th, 2008

Interesting how the entire world ‘voted’ for Obama. No doubt he was the best option.

  42. Web Design Bangkok on November 25th, 2008

Expectations of Obama are far too high. The levelling of the world’s economic order will cause disbelief to many Americans but the joint economic and ecological road map is going to be the trickiest to redress, together with finding real avenues for dialogue with those countries the Bush administration saw fit to inflict so much damage on.

I think obama is little bit socialism type ppl.

  47. Josh on December 1st, 2008

I’m tired of hearing the word “change” without hearing how he will bring about a change. I don’t see how stealing from the rich and giving to the poor is going to help the economy, but I hope I’m proven wrong.

  48. Air Jordans on December 7th, 2008

He can tax me more because I make more!

  49. Jon Boyd Ann Arbor real estate buyer's agent on December 11th, 2008

I know we will give him a chance here in the states. What concerns me more is what some others will do.

The “test” idea that Biden put forward.

Let’s just hope nobody feels the need to “test” President Barry!

  50. studenten lenen on December 17th, 2008

I don’t believe a president necessarily ‘does’ anything for the business world. Best thing government can do is stay out of the way of business and let it grow and develop.
I also agree with the movement against ‘redistribution of wealth’. Usually, there is a good reason for someone being wealthy and another person being poor.

  51. Skip on December 22nd, 2008

the poor is going to help the economy, but I hope I’m proven wrong.

  52. Network 21 on December 26th, 2008

Time will tell what effect the new president will have on business (small and large). Personally I don’t believe they can have too great an impact, more likely a direct impact on the economy, jobs, and international business.

  53. Ernie Small on December 28th, 2008

needless to say, this is a highly speculative topic that is almost impossible to avoid speculating on.

in my opinion, with the way that things have been going over the last 8 years, and more specifically concerning business over the last 2, i think that there is so much that our new president COULD do to improve things that we’ve got pretty much nowhere to go but up.
i’m sort of tired of hearing about how challenging a job President Obama is going to have (even though this is, of course, true…) and not hearing about the fact that there is so many things to potentially improve in this country (starting with the economy) that his job could also be in a sense EASIER.

i think that after a president like W, things are going to almost HAVE to improve in some way, and let’s hope our ailing economy is part of that picture.
