    Just came across this video on YouTube where Reachd.com interviews Matt Cutts from Google.

    There’s some really interesting stuff about WordPress, SEO, sitemaps and what small businesses can achieve for free with things like Google Maps or Google Webmaster Central. For estate agents / realtors you might like to hear about Google Base.

    A great piece of advice is that if you’re adding video or audio to your site, for extra SEO cred, make sure you add a transcript! Anyway, watch the video, take some notes and enjoy.

      Great post, that video was very informative. Some parts were kind of basic, but thats really good for people that are new to the game.

      Thanks for suggesting a transcript to go with video or audio. I like to listen and watch, but hate taking notes. Adding a transcript would be wonderful so it can be printed out and referenced back to later on.

      Yeah, these are just basic tips but I don’t know that adding a transcript can improve our SEO efforts. Thanks for showing this, man!

      Yes, most of the tips were basic, but I did like the hint that time on site (bounce rate) does have an impact on the SERPs.

      thanks, andy. i was thinking about putting a 2-minute video on our home page of our company director, to tell people who we are, etc. i think it will make things seem more personal to the public. keep up the good posts! –larry
